Budget Jumla 2023

Union Budget 2023-24 has Nothing for poor and middle class;it benefits only rich class

the Govt has reduced the allocation for MGNREGA and the cut in food, fertilizer and petroleum subsidies.

it has given no relief to the poor, not offered much for the electorally key middle-class barring the “minor” tax relief and has no concrete proposals for employment generation and to tackle price rise.

“callous Budget that has betrayed the hopes of the vast majority of the people,”
“not futuristic”, “totally opportunistic”, anti-people and anti-poor.

“Allocating money is not equal to spending the money. Nor is allocating money equal to creating jobs. It is only when you actually spend the money, fill the vacancies your objective will be achieved,”
the private sector is still not investing.” govt came to power claiming minimum government, the government seems to be the only batsman playing. After eight years in power, the government is the only active player in the Indian economy. That is very evident by what the Budget

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman did not mention the words “unemployment, poverty, inequality or equity” anywhere in her speech

“Mitr Kaal Budget has no vision to create jobs, no plan to tackle price rise and no intent to stem inequality. One percent richest own 40 percent wealth, 50 percent poorest pay 64 percent of GST, 42 percent youth are unemployed- yet, the PM doesn’t care…”

besides the increase in income tax rebate limit from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh, there was nothing relevant for people.

the two  states, Gujarat and Karnataka, received major support.  Surat, a flourishing market for lab-made diamonds, got support in the budget.
GIFT city is a city crushing under the weight of gifts received from centre yet not living up to the hype,”

Sitharaman also announced a grant of ₹5,300 crore for the Upper Bhadra Project in Karnataka.

"There is no income for the people. How can they benefit by increasing the tax limit?" he said,

"The budget was presented keeping in mind the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Looking at the budget, it seems as if it has been created to specially care about the 'Hum Do Humare Do' as it is evident from the significantly reduced highest slab for Income Tax payers. People understand it well whom have they done it for,"

it would be better if the budget is for the country rather than for the party.

"For them, there is just talk. It is better if the budget is more for the country than for the party,"  the party hoped to gain electoral benefits from the exercise.

"Like earlier in the country, in the last nine years also the budgets of the central government kept on coming in which announcements, promises, claims and hopes were showered. They all became redundant when India's middle class faced the problems of inflation, poverty and unemployment etc and were reduced to lower middle class,"
